The project Our only hope is to give up hope can be seen as an analogy of a movement. A paradoxical image of a united WE. In short, the movement’s foundation, which can be seen as a kind of consciousness, can be described as a unification of loss and confusion, a resignation of personalities, a questioning of love as an instrument of power, a sort of anti-struggle, a search for a point zero, a nothing.
The work includes a manifest, seven flags, a filmed version of a performance where the artist reads parts of the manifest, taking the role as the movement’s spokesperson.

Projektet Our only hope is to give up hope kan ses som en analogi av en rörelse. En paradoxal bild av ett förenat VI. Kortfattat kan Rörelsens fundament, som snarare kan ses som ett slags medvetande, beskrivas som att de bedriver en sorts paradoxal anti-kamp, förenad i saknad och förvirring, en uppgivelse av personligheter, ett ifrågasättande av kärlek som ett maktinstrument, ett sökande efter en nollpunkt, ett ingenting.
I verket ingår ett manifest, sammanlagt sju stycken flaggor, en filmad version av ett performance då konstnären läser delar ur manifestet och iklär sig en roll som rörelsens språkrör.
